The Road to net-zero

Tree Planting

Rankin is conscious of it’s own Carbon Footprint and measures it on an annual basis. To help offset our emissions we have embarked on an expansive tree planting programme around Zambia. We plan to plant up to 10,000 trees over the next 7 years which will ensure that we are a carbon net-zero company. Working together with both public and private partners our environmental team has identified a number of suitable sites to plant a diverse range of trees.  Sites include, schools, hospitals, business parks and private developments. As well as the physical tree planting, Rankin’s environmental team also takes time to inform and communicate to the local community at each site the importance of climate change mitigation. Explore the map below to see some of our current tree planting projects.
