Rankin takes full advantage of its differential Global Positioning System (GPS) surveying equipment (combined with digital level/total station), backed by its full range of software in road design, water reticulation systems design, water quality studies, contouring and design of waste treatment systems. The surveying equipment is capable of producing time efficient, high-accuracy surveys, while storing data associated with each point in a hand-held computer.

Running in compatibility with our existing Auto-CAD, Civil Designer™ and Auto-Civil systems, this enhanced technology affords Rankin greater accuracy and improved efficiency in its project management work by cutting down on surveying time through “on-the-fly”, “auto-error elimination” and greater distance coverage.

Rankin's Sokkia™ GSR 2300 GPS equipment is capable of tracking 12 satellites which provides added accuracy and efficiency.

To provide ease of manipulation, data is directly logged from the GPS to a hand-held computer.

To add to this capability, Rankin has the latest in Total Station Equipment. These instruments are completely compatible with the GPS equipment and hand-held computer and can therefore be interchanged during one operation thereby providing flexibility and added accuracy.

Rankin also owns conventional surveying instruments such as theodolites, dumpy and automatic levels.
