Agriculture

Rankin has been involved in infrastructure development of several large scale agricultural projects such as Kasama Sugar, Masstock Chiawa, Mpongwe Western Block, Tata farms, York Farm and Kambwese Farms. Our integrated approach allows us to undertake projects ranging from soil analysis to total farm design, as well as digitisation and GIS development. Our experience includes detailed design of conventional, pop-up and centre pivot irrigation systems and computerised telemetrically controlled pump control schemes.

Industrial

Rankin has been involved in industrial development of several large-scale developments such as Kalungwishi Estates, National Breweries, Exxon-Mobil, Engen Oil and Mpongwe Developments. Projects carried out include a wide range of activities, such as installation design and construction of factories, road networks, associated water and sanitation facilities, all environmental issues related to the projects, pump stations and dams.

Community

Rankin is involved in community driven infrastructure improvement programs dealing with water, roads and structures. These Works are mainly focused on peri-urban and rural development. Rankin's community facilitators combine their knowledge of participatory approach with engineering applications to provide the community with a combination of engineering expertise and community motivation to impart knowledge and develop the sense of local community ownership so vital to successful development.
